  What is the most bizarre counsel you received as a JW, from a JW?

  for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.

  At get togethers, I danced a lot and with many sister friends. So one night at a get together, the same bastard elder from my previous comment came up to me, pulled me to the side and said, "brother you move your body and hips too much." I answered, "But this is salsa dancing brother." He pissed me off so badly that I moved even more exaggeratedly as we passed in front of him. Yes, now I know he was for sure looking at my C*ck and B%lls.

  i was feeling particularly hopeless about the whole jws being assholes thing and sick to death of pretending so ....

  i rang my sister and told her that i no longer believe jws have the truth and the phone went silent, when i asked her to say something she just said if that was the case then she would have to hang up on me and then proceeded to indeed hang up..

  I went all out like Sparrowdown. But I let it out at my regular pioneer mother, 8 years ago. I thought that she would for sure out me to everyone. I was going to drag my faded sisters with me since I knew they celebrated all sorts of sh*t. Ohhh, but my mom never bothered to out them because she worked for them. Recently she texted me that she loved us and now we speak again. To my surprise she never reported me, and My wife and I ended up fading comfortably. My mom leaves out all society, JW talk now. I got my family back. I hope you get yours back soon sparrow.

  It felt great for me at the beginning as well, but as time passed, I went through a death like grieving state. I then started forgetting my mother and father, and began getting closer to my wife's family. I also integrated myself in college classes. Get a guitar, piano, violin course at a college. Learn to paint, make new educated friends. All these things helped me. P.S. Make friends with a psychologist and take psychology courses.

  Aprostate Exam

  I was the assigned reader for the Witchower on a Sunday for the study. I wore modest suits and my mom always made sure I looked spiffy. A bastard Elder came up to me at the end of the meeting and told me that I should cross my legs when participating on the platform. That disgusting bastard was looking at my C@#k and B%#ls.

  Some Idiot Elder that would make up sh*t as he always got into doctrinal pickles. This elder told my mom and I that we would make it into the new system if we turned at least one worldly person into a Dub.

  Also, my mom had me burn some Cabbage Patch Kid dolls, because Brothers said they were demonic.

  Did anyone ever hear the stupid story about the kid in a hall who was sleeping on the floor between a row of seats? He woke up crying because his Barney plush toy woke him up and ran out of the hall laughing?

  I surely doubt there is a loving god that looks out for people in need or in danger, many examples to prove that. So just in case there is someone/something out there that called on my existence, I pray, I do a short prayer in my classroom during the moment of silence. I don't pray to the name Jehovah anymore, I pray about my wife and children's safety to "creator" and instead of Jesus I use a very generic "your son given in sacrifice, and I say, "We thank you", at the end." If there is a god, then I am sure he knows my good heart and that I am directing myself to him as our only creator. Since "Amen" may have origins with "Amun Ra", an Egyptian deity, I stay away from it.

  With Osiris, Amun-Ra is the most widely recorded of the Egyptian gods. As the chief deity of the Egyptian Empire, Amun-Ra also came to be worshipped outside of Egypt, in Ancient Libya and Nubia, and as Zeus Ammon came to be identified with Zeus in Ancient Greece.

  What will 1914 (DROPPED) mean for you (EX-JW)

  let's pretend this might happen.

  im not asking what it will mean for the jdubs or for the organization, but what will it mean for you---- if one day you wake up and the watchtower drops the 1914 doctrine.. (you know at some point they have to, but probably not our lifetime).

  if you are disfellowshipped or disassociated and have been shunned by your parents, by your children, by you spouse or ex-husband/wife, for years or even less, will you call your relatives and ask/tell them;.

  1914, great sense for debate with my mother in the past. I gave up on my mother accepting me for understanding the real truth to many matters. 15 years ago, I told her I did not believe any more and she said she could not talk to me any more. She missed my children's birth and growing up. She recently texted me, "Son I love you and miss you". I immediately texted her back that I love them and wish for them to be in my life again. Although she is still a regular pioneer in her 70's, she expressed that she love's me, and wants to see us. We now visit them and the JW theme is avoided, the real truth wins again. "Respect!"

  At that point, take care of your needs. If you must live with her, then see her as a roommate. culture something good for you, out of that arrangement. Make sure you consider yourself worthy of taking care of your "Maslow's hierarchy of needs".

  How to evade questions from elders when you stop going out door to door

  due to circumstances right now i cannot leave permanently the watchtower, however i need honest advice of what to say when elders question me how come im not meeting the group out for door to door & going out in " field service"... what would be proper responses not to draw suspicions since i'm aware of ttatt.. .any serious advice please...

  I enjoy changing their subject with quick questions about their children's education. Such as, "How's (name) ?, I bet he/she is excited about going to college right? and, your son/daughter seems very intelligent, has he/she decided what career to go with?" Then confuse them by seemingly forgetting they (the elders) are not a professional, by stating, "so I bet your son/daughter wants to become an engineer like you right? Upon their correcting you, reply, Oh its just that you seem so intelligent, I thought you were a professional. Then say, "great seeing you", and fake an exit.

  i know there is a lot of people on here that will say it is pure make believe but i am interested if anybody has had any real concrete things happen such as something moving or something appearing in the mirror etc.. anything just post it up here even if it wasn't much.

  please give a little context as to the situation..

  I still wonder if events can get magnetically recorded in the environment. Let me explain. My dad was a mariachi and not deceased when on certain occasions we would hear a faint playing of the violin in our house. Now, we all heard it in the family but dad was still alive, and often played his violin. Mom would tell us that it was recorded in the walls and that in Mexico they call them echoes. We heard this several times and I've found that if there is underground water activity that this can also cause certain magnetic reactions in buildings. Now I would love to think that our energy goes somewhere, but there is no proof.

  On a different occasion, my brother in law (that is now a heavy duty elder) , his little brother, and I were house sitting the house for our fiancees. Yes, my buddy and I were dating sisters. So we had the bright idea of renting a VHS of the exorcist. We started to watch it and at the point where they were unearthing the artifacts, we all heard what sounded like a plastic cup fall in the kitchen, and it bounced several times till it came to a rest. We looked at each other, paused the movie and went to look for the fallen cup. We found nothing, that freaked us out and we took the movie out and through it in our car. LOL, so we still talk about that night, but now that I know better, since we all heard it, I chalk it up to it perhaps being recorded in the environment. In the past, I have found some scientific magnetism hypothesis on this. I guess I will take that explanation as my closest reality to the subject. I do know that our amygadala plays a huge role in hallucination while stressed, anxious, afraid, etc....

  The amygadala plays a lead role in our flight or fight experiences. This is supposedly where David Banner from the Hulk show was dificient in before medicating himself. Also in Robocop, when his amygadala was out of wac, he would cry and emotions were uncontrollable, so they killed his amgadala. Kids with Autism have amygadalas that do not function in the understanding of others emotions or external environment. Therefore there are varying robotic conditions to their personality, or there lack of.

  now after 21 years in professional psychology/humanities, i love talking to brothers that adopt a slow pace in speech, and low tone of voice when they deal with the rank and cold un-associated ones.

  my mirroring their present state in personality seems to psych them out for a bit.

  i then tap into my fast injection of logical sense, that throws them off.
